How could we help Lurpak, the world’s most iconic butter brand, built on 120 years of craft heritage, to evolve - future ready, with a design expression capable of enhancing it’s status in over 90 markets.
Honour legacy while confidently looking ahead.
Detail-by-detail. Asset-by-asset. A brand reawakening that reinterprets and recrafts Lurpak’s few, but highly distinctive, design assets. Still a hallmark for quality, pride and craftsmanship, now a dynamic system - the global butter of contemporary food culture.
What we did
Logo refresh – The logo was refined to balance the authority and credibility of a 120-year-old brand with a more contemporary expression. The update preserves Lurpak’s sense of quality, pride, and craftsmanship, while ensuring relevance in today’s visual landscape.
Typography – Based on the unique logotype character, we designed Lurpak Display, for both on and off pack and includes a Latin and Hebrew version.
Packaging system – With the hero butter at the centre of the portfolio, we developed a packaging system designed to scale. The system supports new flavours, product extensions, limited editions, and additional formats — all while strengthening recognition and coherence across global markets.
Production - We safeguard design quality all the way to final artwork and production, including line extensions and format adaptations. A brand is never stronger than its latest production.
