As competition for attention increased and donors demanded greater clarity and transparency, SOS Barnbyar needed a clearer way to communicate both urgency and impact. The lives of vulnerable children are complex and often invisible, while the organisation’s role, and the difference donors help create, needed to be felt and understood.
We developed the concept “En värld för barn” – “A World for Children” – to make visible the reality that one in ten children grow up without the support of safe, caring adults. The creative concept highlights both the challenges these children face and the positive change that SOS Barnbyar and donors create together.
What we did
Communication platform – We created “A World for Children” as a clear, long-term platform designed to hold both urgency and hope, enabling SOS Barnbyar to communicate complex realities with clarity and dignity.
Creative Idea – Our creative concept is built on a simple yet powerful idea: connecting two very different worlds of childhood, the world every child should be able to live in, and the world that is the reality for some.
Brand system – We developed a coherent system where design and communication work seamlessly together. Sharp headlines are set in a distinctive, conceptually strong typography inspired by, and crafted together with, children. Starting from SOS Barnbyar’s highly recognisable orange, the colour palette was expanded to support a broader expressive range, allowing the brand to be both frank in its message and optimistic in its tone.
